A delegation of the US-India Business Council evidenced interest in investing in Telangana in Pharmaceutical, healthcare, Information Technology and infrastructure sectors. The USIBC delegation led by executive vice-president Diane Farrell has informed the news, during his meet with TS IT Minister KT Rama Rao in Hyderabad.
Mr. Diane Farrell and his delegation called on Information Technology and Panchayat Raj Minister K.T. Rama Rao, on Monday at the Secretariat. A release from CMO stated, “USIBC expressed interest to invest in Telangana state especially in pharmaceutical and healthcare sector apart from IT and infrastructure fields. The team appreciated government’s initiatives in the past 10 months.”
Mr.KTR laid emphasis on the new industrial policy of the state and stressed on the clearances under the TSiPASS single-window clearance system, where the investors can get the clearances in two weeks time. ‘’Telangana government’s thrust areas would be aerospace, pharma fields apart of ITEC industry and the government is keen on to making the state a world class investment destination,” KTR further added.
KTR has also highlighted on TRS governments initiative in IT sector including the TSK, T-hub and game city. The delegation was happy with the industrial policies and informed that it is looking forward for a long-term association with Telangana state. Few of the executives of the delegation were from Hospira, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Mylan and Pfizer.
