Daya (NTR) is a corrupt criminal-minded cop, who believes that money is everything in life. He teams with Valther Vasu (Prakash Raj), a smuggler and opts for corrupted activities to make tons of money. He falls for Shanvi (Kajal) in the meantime. Twist in the tale occurs when Daya’s girlfriend (Kajal) gets kidnapped by Vasu and Daya gets to realize some shocking aspects. How does Daya reforms himself and take on Valteru Vasu and his brothers is the rest.
Temper is NTR’s show all the way. NTR has opted for a new style and a very different look, which brought in freshness to the role. He excelled in cop role as Daya, and steals the show in climax scenes. He rocked the stage with electrifying dance moves in the title song. All credits to Puri Jagan for showcasing NTR in a new avatar.
Kajal looks cute and beautiful, but her character has nothing much to do. She however pleases her fans in the songs. Madhurima has significant role to story and she does best.
Prakash Raj does a brilliant job, and he is definitely an asset for the movie, Posani is justifying as constable Murthy and complements NTR throughout proceedings, Tanikella Bharani gives a matured performance. Sonia Agarwal is wasted, Jaya Prakash Reddy is his usual best. Others are adequate.
Anup Rubens composed peppy numbers, and all the songs are shot stylishly. Mani Sharma does brilliant job with the background score. Cinematography is on top notch and the visuals are very pleasing. Dialogues are major asset and have elevated the proceedings while the screenplay is gripping in the latter half. Puri Jagannadh once again proves that he is at his best in dealing cop-based stories. Editing is slick and crisp, Art direction by Brahma Kadali is neat. Parameswara Arts Production values are rich.
Puri Jagannadh is known for racy mass entertainers and when he gets a performer like NTR on board, and successful writer Vakkantham Vamsi providing story, the trio creates sensation on-screens.
Like we said, Temper is all about NTR and how outstandingly, he balanced the powerful Daya characterization. Be it the stylish look or the grace in dance moves or the spectacular performance, NTR has totally nailed it.
The interval twist comes at the right point and takes the second half to a new level. There were loads of emotional charged scenes which were brilliantly handled by Puri Jagannadh in the second hour, also the climax gets thumping response. The tempo and pace in the second half are racy enough, while NTR, Madhurima and Posani are the highlights of this hour.
On the flip side, the first half of the film is pretty average and lacks entertainment. Only NTR and Posani roles are gripping in this hour, while Kajal pleases with her glamour. On the other hand, the film has huge violence and some of the dialogues may not go well with the family audiences.
Average first half
Temper- NTR is back with a bang!!!
