Decent Attempt by Anup Rubens

Summary : All in all, Temper has a couple of instantly likeable numbers Choolenge Asma and One more time, and some foot-tapping numbers for masses. The album may not be appealing instantly, but will grow on you, on a repeated listen.

NTR’s new look and style from Temper has become talk-of-the-town post the release of the teaser trailers. The film is NTR’s second combo with dashing director Puri Jagannadh, and Kajal played the leading lady. For the first time, Anup Rubens bagged a chance to score tunes for NTR starrer. Anup has composed 5 songs and a theme song for Temper album, while Vishwa, Bhaskarbhatla and Khandikonda penned the lyrics. Here is our take on Temper music. Read Temper audio review below.

Choolenge Asma

Artists: Adnan Sami, Ramya Behara, Veena Ghantasala

Lyricist: Vishwa

Choolenge Aasma is a pleasant melody and it has Anup’s mark all over it. The flamenco styled guitar and the string sections interspersed with breezy vocals by Adnan Sami make the song an aural treat. Ramya Behara and Veena Ghantasala complement Adnan in the number. Choolenge Asma is one number to catch this season.

Temper

Artists: Uma Neha, MLR.Karthikeyan, Bhargavi Pillai, Simha

Lyricist: Bhaskarabhatla

After a soft romantic number, the album suddenly becomes loud with the title track. Anup has composed the number with heavy electronic guitar and drum beats to hook the masses. Bhaskarbhatla pleases the Nandamuri fans with the lyrics. Anup hits the target crowds impressing the mass audiences with the title track.

Devudaa

Artists : Anup Rubens, Puri Jagannath

Lyricist : Bhaskarabhatla

Next up is Devuda that has a bit of philosophical and wierd lyrics penned by Bhaskarabhatla while Anup Rubens croons it with style adding the necessary zing to it. However, the composition lacks innovativeness although the orchestration makes it peppy. Let’s see if NTR’s makes it more appealing with his dances.

One more time

Artists : Ranjith, Lipsika

Lyricist : Kandhikonda

One more time is a soothing romantic number with a fabulous tune. The song flows nicely with impressive electric guitar riffs and peculiar styled interludes, and Kandhikonda’s romantic lyrics are pleasing. Lipsika’s voice is ear-pleasing while Ranjith accompanying her makes it a pleasant listen. Anup Rubens makes his presence felt in a big way with his nice composition and orchestration.

Ittage Recchipodham

Artists : Geetha Madhuri

Lyricist : Bhaskarabhatla

No Puri Jagannadh’s film music album is complete without a racy item number. Right? Yes , it’s time for a foot-tapping item number. Sung by Geetha Madhuri, Ittage Recchipodham has crazy lyrics by Bhaskarabhatla. Anup hasn’t experimented much with the tune but it has perfect folk desi beats with western techno beats and more percussion instruments giving scope for NTR to show off his dance moves.

Temper Theme

Artists : Hymanth, Arun, Anudeep, Dhanunjay

Lyricist – Rap : Rahul

The theme song of the film and has the rhythmic touch and is worth listening for its orchestration. With just one and half minute composition, it might have been used as the background score at crucial sequences to uplift the story.

Final Verdict

All in all, Temper has a couple of instantly likeable numbers Choolenge Asma and One more time, and some foot-tapping numbers for masses. The album may not be appealing instantly, but will grow on you, on a repeated listen.
