RPS Party to be merged into TDP?

Rayalaseema Parirakshana SamithiRayalaseema Parirakshana Samithi (RPS) Party president and former TDP leader Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy is allegedly rejoining the TDP. Speculations reveal that Byreddy is reconsidering to join back TD party and in the process merge his RPS into TDP.

Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy is strong leader in Kurnool and his reentry into TDP will strengthen the party in Rayalaseema regions. But on the other hand, few of the Telugu Desam leaders in Kurnool are objecting his rejoin to the ruling party and are fighting tooth and nail to stop him merging his party into TDP.

Mr. Byreddy worked as TDP general secretary and played key role in the party. Quitting the TDP, 2 years before the 2014 general elections, he floated his own party Rayalaseema Parirakshana Samithi (RPS) demanding for separate Rayalaseema State and contested in the elections. He has good popularity in Panyam and Nandikotkuru constituencies of Kurnool district and has also won few seats in the local elections.

However, he failed to keep the separate Rayalaseema State momentum following an arrest warrant. He is contemplating on coming back to home turf TDP.
