Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao held a review meeting at his residence on Wednesday regarding developing Hyderabad as an international city. In this regard, KCR is planning for skyscrapers around Hussain Sagar, which he termed as an esteemed possession of the city along with its purification.
Meeting the revenue officials of the state, Mr. Rao said that developing 60 to 100 storeyed buildings dotting Hussain Sagar would ensure all the government buildings, private offices, star hotels and hospitality centres in a limited space will be made available to the people of the city citing Petronas tower in Kaulalumpur.
Locating some of the areas himself, KCR said that areas including Sanjeevayya Park, Secunderabad Boats Club land, DBR Mills, Lower Tank Bund region, Ambedkar Nagar and vacant land nearby to Jalavihar would be ideal to construct skyscrapers.
Mr. Rao ordered the officials to submit the full details of the areas on the issue and proposals for the private agencies to build the skyscrapers facilitating them in relaxing the construction norms.
