The first thing you notice when you given a listen to the song is Suddala Ashok Teja’s thoughtful and meaningful lyrics. Gulabi Kallu is high on Guitar and sets a feel-good romantic tone on a listen. Srimani pens some modern words with the mix of rhythmic phrases while Javed Ali goes behind the mike and impresses the youth with his unique style of crooning. Although average on music, Ram Charan-Kajal can add the value to make it big on-screen.
Lyricist: Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry
Ra Rakumara is a sensuous feel number, yet conveyed with beautiful lyrics by Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry. Chinmayi is at ease crooning the number effortlessly at the sometime amazingly. Yuvaan proves that he is good at scoring pathos and interludes are impressive but the only drawback is the less clarity in orchestration which resulted in the words not being heard clearly.
4.Prathichota Nake Swagatam
Lyricist: Ramajogayya Sastry
Next up in the album is Prathichota Nake Swagatam, can be tagged as hero’s intro song. Ramajogayya Sastry lyrics focus on lead character’s attitude. Yuvan’s tune is peppy and has a scope for Ram Charan to showcase dancing prowess. The song is rendered by Ranjith and it’s up to Ram Charan now, to take the song to other level with his dances.
Artists: Ranjith, Vijay Yesudas, Surmuki, Sri Vardhini
Lyricist: Chandra Bose
Krishna Vamsi is known to picturise family songs beautifully and here is once such number that gives us a positive feel. Four of the singers grab the attention infusing enthusiasm, energy and fun. The lyrics look like a wholesome package with a tinge of emotion, love, fun and romantic while Yuvan makes it all the more interesting with the pace shifting to various emotions.
6.Kok Kok Kodi
Artists: Karthik, Haricharan, Manasi, Rita
Lyricist: Laxmi Bhupal
Last up is yet another energetic number that once again has too many singers. Karthik vocals are breathy and soothing while Haricharan, Manasi, Rita support him well in rendition. The song has a traditional Telugu nativity feel and that works in favor of the song. Kok Kok Kodi is melodious, soothing, pulsating and has a great flow.
GAV Music Verdict:
All in all, Govindudu Andarivadele has Telugu nativity connecting feel good music, which is quite different from the regular commercial entertainers. Yuvan sheds his Kollywood influence and a typical Telugu music album. Although GAV album is not an instant listen winner, it grows on to you on repeated listens.
