Artist: Kailash Kher
Chandrabose is at his best with message-oriented lyrics, that takes potshots on superstitious beliefs in Hindu mythology. He has done a great job keep the lyrics message-giving yet entertaining. While Anup Rubens composed a catchy tune, it was Kailash Kher who takes it to another level with his rendition. The song style leaves a good impact on listeners.
Artist: Sonu Nigam
Lyricist: Sirivennela Sitaramasastry
Needhe Needhe is yet another beautifully penned song, Sirivennela’s philosophical touch is outstanding, and you can feel the conflict that’s going through the character’s mind as the lyrics play. Anup Rubens lets lyrics take the centre stage by doing a balancing act. Sonu Nigam goes behind the mike and makes it an appealingly buoyant number. Needhe Needhe is a kind of number that grows on you with visuals.
Lyricist: Ananth Sriram
Bhaje Bhaje for sure is the most awaited track, as we get to see both the leads Pawan Kalyan and Venkatesh shaking leg together. The track takes off on a groovy note with lots of energetic beats of drums and folk touch. Despite 90’s feel to the track, it has a good pace and is quite appealing. Haricharan’s rendition and Ananth Sriram’s fun-filled lyrics are the good things about this track, which is likely to turn popular with good choreography and picturisation.
Gopala Gopala (Theme)
The instrumental track sounds impressive, as Anup intelligently blends the flute melody with the electric guitar, drums portions yet without overdoing the electronica.
All in all, Gopala Gopala is a feel-good album with beautiful lyrics. There are only three songs in this script-driven film, and all of them are situational. The album will grow on you with repeated listen, and colorfully picturised visuals. Gopala Gopala offers a pleasant listening experience.
